02What data we collect
We only collect data you enter yourself in the quote form: your name, your company name, your email address, your phone number, the product category you are interested in, and the description you give with your request. We also record which language the form was filled in and when the request arrived.
Beyond that, we collect nothing. This website keeps no visitor statistics, builds no profile of you, and does not follow you across other websites.
03What we use your data for
Your data is used to answer your quote request and, if it leads to an order, to carry out that order. We do not use your data for advertising and we send no newsletter.
The legal basis is the performance of a contract, or taking steps at your request before entering into one (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). The form also contains a hidden field that identifies automated submissions; we do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in preventing abuse (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
04Cookies
This website sets no cookies for visitors and loads no components from third parties, not even fonts or maps. That is why you see no cookie notice here: there is nothing to choose.
Only the private admin area, accessible to our own staff alone, uses a functional cookie to keep someone signed in. That cookie never reaches visitors to the website.
05How long we keep your data
If your request does not lead to an order, we keep it for at most two years, so that we can look up what was discussed if you come back to us. After that we delete the request.
If your request does lead to an order, the data forms part of our administration. Dutch tax law requires us to keep that for seven years.
06Who we share your data with
We do not sell your data and do not pass it on for commercial purposes. To run the website and deliver your request, we use service providers who process data on our behalf. Data processing agreements are in place with them.
These are the party that hosts the website, the party that supplies the database in which your request is stored, and the party that delivers the email containing your request to us. The database is located in a data centre within the European Union.
Apart from these service providers, we share your data only where we are legally required to do so.
07How we protect your data
All connections to this website are encrypted. Incoming requests can only be viewed after signing in with a password, and only by staff who have been given access.
08Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected, and to have it erased. You can also ask us to restrict processing, object to processing, and request your data in a common file format in order to transfer it to another party.
Send a message to info@textielimporteur.nl or call 0318 260 020. We respond within four weeks. To avoid disclosing data to the wrong person, we may ask you to prove your identity.
If you disagree with how we handle your data, we would like to hear it from you first. You also always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
09Changes to this statement
If the way we process data changes, we will update this statement. The date at the top of this page shows when that last happened.
